George IV (7 items)

George IV (1762 - 1830) ruled the United Kingdom as both Prince Regent (1811 - 1820) and king (1820-1830). He had a long association with Brighton, and built the Royal Pavilion as his seaside palace.

An unpopular king during a golden age of satire, George was frequently mocked in political caricatures.
