Browse Mir Dast
Mir Dast (1874 - 1945) was an Indian Army soldier who was wounded during the Second Battle of Ypres in April 1915. He was hospitalised in the Royal Pavilion where he was awarded the Victoria Cross by King George V in August that year. He is commemorated by a blue plaque outside the Royal Pavilion shop.
