Description (Object or Artwork): Mounted on wood with label on reverse marked: Charles Catt. Shows the area between the Preston Boundary Road, Ditchling Road, and the road to the Race Course . It shows the Royal Gardens projecting from the cricket ground into the Level. Some areas of land are named by owner, such as J Colbatch, the plan of his house and gardens are shown, B. Smith, J. Wright next to the Jew's burial ground, Head Parsons and the Waterworks. All peices of ground are measured in Acres, Rods and Perches with a scale of Four Chains to an inch. There is attached a Square Measure to explain the measurements.
