Description (Object or Artwork): This is one of four views forming a panarama. They were issued as a continous strip labelled 'W. Grant's Panoramic View of Brighton from the Sea'. They also appeared as four separate numbered plates. This set is in booklet form in a yellow cover named 'Panoramic Views of Brighton from the Sea'. Published by W. Grant, General News Agent at 5 & 6 Castle Square and 19 Queen's Road, Brighton. Above the title on each print the names are identified. This print is entitled West No.2 and shows the front from Brunswick Terrace to the Bedford Hotel showing the steeple of Christchurch. In the foreground a boat with two sails, tacking East with three men in it.
