Description (Object or Artwork): Monochrome photographic print of the front elevation of 39 & 40 Grenville Place, showing the front elevation, basement, ground and first floors. One of the oldest streets of western Brighton, it was built between 1790 and 1820. Although the buildings on the north side were undistinguished, there were elegant looking houses on the south side, two of which are shown. All was to be cleared away for the building of Churchill Square in 1966. Alternative Number : 6412/G
