This coffee pot has a sloping body, a loop handle with thumb grip, and a curved spout. The lid has a circular, dimpled knop. It is clear glazed overall although this is only evident on the base, inside the pot and inside the lid. The bulk of the teapot and lid is enamelled on the outside in matt colours with much raised enamelled detailing. The pallette consists mostly of dark greens, brown, blue and yellow. There is some gilding. The decoration on the teapot shows an outdoor scene. Twelve men are depicted seated in two groups. The group consisting of eight men all sit surrounding a fearsome, open-mouthed dragon whose tail wraps around the other side of the teapot where a further four men are seated. In the larger group one man is prominent. He has long, dark hair, holds a staff and two golden halos appear above his head. A further two men in the group also have halos. There is an Oriental mark in red enamel on the base.
