Description: This case of one immature Egyptian Vulture shows the specimen in a setting that is a recreation of its natural surroundings.

The bird was shot by a labourer named John Talbot in Peldon, Essex, in 1868, and collected subsequently by Dr. Bree, Collis Willmott, John Bruce Nicols and Arthur Foster Griffith. See Howard Saunder’s {i}Manual{/i} (Edition 3, p. 359) and Christy’s {i}Birds of Essex{/i}, (p. 162); also {i}Witherby's Handbook{/i} (Vol. 2., p. 187).
